Position Summary



We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Associate & Field Technician Trainee to join our team. This is a unique hybrid role that starts with core responsibilities in our warehouse, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.

The ideal candidate is not just looking for a job, but a career path. You will receive comprehensive, paid, on-the-job training to become a skilled Field Technician specializing in the application of floor coatings, spray foam insulation, and other protective coatings. You will also learn to maintain and repair the specialized equipment used in our industry. This position offers a clear path for growth from a warehouse role to a skilled trades professional.

Key Responsibilities



Warehouse Duties (Approximately 50-70% of time, varies by season/project load)



Receive, inspect, and accurately document incoming shipments of materials and equipment. Prepare and package products for outbound shipping, ensuring accuracy and quality control. Load and unload trucks using a forklift and other warehouse equipment. Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring the warehouse is clean, safe, and efficient. Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies. Assist with general facility maintenance and organization.

Field Technician Training & Responsibilities (Approximately 30-50% of time, increasing with experience)



Actively participate in a structured training program to learn surface preparation, material mixing, and application techniques for floor coatings and spray foam insulation. Work alongside senior technicians on commercial and residential job sites, assisting with all aspects of project execution. Learn and adhere to strict safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Develop skills in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing plural-component spray equipment and other tools. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients on-site. Ensure job sites are kept clean and organized.

Qualifications & Skills



Required:



High school diploma or equivalent. Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, bending, and kneeling. Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand and power tools. Excellent work ethic, punctuality, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. A strong desire to learn a skilled trade and grow with the company. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and safety procedures.

Preferred (Assets):



Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or general labour role. Valid forklift operator certification. Experience in construction, painting, coatings, or a related trade. Familiarity with workplace safety standards (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights).
