Warehouse and Logistics ManagerContract Pharmaceuticals Limited is a contract manufacturer and packager of prescription and over the counter pharmaceutical products. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive and innovative outsourcing services that exceed the uncompromising demands of the global pharmaceutical industry.To manage and coordinate all activities at all CPL warehouse locations both internal and third party. Provide support services to Manufacturing, Packaging, Quality and other departments as necessary.*
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: *

  • Responsible for the efficient management and control of all CPL warehouses and third-party locations ensuring that all KPI's are met, to ensure service levels to both internal and external customers are maximized.
  • Responsible for the logistical freight management for outbound and inbound CPL and Glass house requirements, ensuring that the assigned KPI's are met and within budget
  • Responsible for promoting and maintaining safe and healthy working conditions in his/her assigned work area.
  • Instructs, enforces, and evaluates employees under their supervision to work in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures.
  • Ensures workers receive appropriate training and information necessary to conduct their activities in a safe and healthy manner.
  • Monitors and ensures that all safety related incidents/accidents are researched and investigated; including taking corrective action to prevent future occurrences.
  • Promotes and exemplifies the CPL culture, ensuring that employees are delivering an exceptional customer experience by demonstrating CPL's core values.
  • Responsible for the training of team members and making sure that they have the tools and equipment to perform their duties.
  • Monitors performance on regular basis, giving regular feedback on achievement and assists in correcting performance deficiencies and completing annual appraisals.
  • Ensures corrective action is taken and implement discipline process to correct behavioral issues.
  • Communicates to team members daily on work volumes, changes, and new information relative to the position.
  • Listens to the issues, problems and concerns of team members and refers to other sources if different expertise is needed.
  • Works closely with the Procurement, Inventory, and Planning teams to ensure that effective inventory levels are maintained
  • Maintains a high level of professional relations with customers, transportation, and third-party storage vendors while setting up trailers for shipment of finished goods.
  • Resolution of customer complaints.
  • Oversee warehouse activities on all 3 shifts and ensures compliance with FDA, Health Canada, EPA, MOT, MOE, OHSA, MOL (Ministry of Labour/Employment Standards) as well as, GMP standards throughout the department through the effective use of SOPs.
  • Responsible to closely monitoring Hazardous and Non-Hazardous shipments.
  • Ability to demonstrate Corrective and Prevention Actions and Opportunities of Improvement.
  • Ability to determine the root cause of incidents and corrective actions.
  • Responsible for supervising the delivery and receiving of all raw materials, packaging components, equipment, and consumables.
  • Responsible for managing the picking and staging of all materials for manufacturing and packaging work orders, sampling by quality and returning inventory to stock once the material is returned from operations and or quality.
  • Manage all transportation issues related to all CPL locations.
  • Responsible for all storage within the CPL warehouses and third-party locations
  • Responsible for the time and attendance of team members and the monitoring of productivity.
  • Responsible for the prior approval of all overtime.
  • Facilitate warehouse workload distribution.
  • Responsible for the facilitation of FedEx shipments.
  • Responsible for the efficient utilization of resources and supplies to reduce waste and achieve cost containment and Lean objectives.
  • Responsible for the effective use of the Warehouse Management System within SAP.
  • Responsible for the effective use of the Inventory Module within SAP, relative to warehouse activities.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring the budget for the Warehouse. Recommend purchase/lease for capital equipment for this department.
  • Facilitate warehouse capacity utilization, inventory control and storage compliance.
  • Establish department structure, systems, processes, and measures to support the achievement of Lean manufacturing goals.
  • Provide input on new projects / enhancements to current and new systems and work with Project teams as required.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: *
  • Minimum bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in the areas of Customer Service, Transportation, Warehousing, Inventory Management, Materials Management, or Manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with the transportation industry regulations governing small package expedited service, less than trailer load (LTL), and full trailer load shipment, is required.
  • Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing principles and its application.
  • Familiarity with basic manufacturing and warehouse regulations is essential.
  • Computer literacy is required with a strong emphasis on MRP systems, Word, SAP and Excel.
  • A strong understanding of warehouse operations, distribution warehousing, and pharmaceutical quality standards are beneficial.
  • Effective leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate team members and facilitate individual work styles.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated competencies in CPL's core values.
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt, respond quickly and manage change in a fast-paced environment.
