Position: Ward Clerk

Ward Clerk Job Requirements

The Ward Clerk will be responsible for specific operations running of the home, administration and nursing department. Our Ward clerk will be the first point of contact for the home.

Duties and Responsibilities

\xe2\x97\x8f Perform all the office administration duties by collaborating with every department of the home.
\xe2\x97\x8f Manage the patient admission and discharge process for the unit.
\xe2\x97\x8f Use patient intake and electronic medical records (PCC) software.
\xe2\x97\x8f Schedule appointments, procedures, and transportation.
\xe2\x97\x8f Assist Department Managers within their recruitment processes.
\xe2\x97\x8f Filing and Culling of Resident charts.
\xe2\x97\x8f Data Entry.
\xe2\x97\x8f Assist the Medical Directors of the home with resident consultations and referrals.
\xe2\x97\x8f Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries, or redirect calls and relay messages.
\xe2\x97\x8f Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
\xe2\x97\x8f Post Secondary Certificate in Business or office administration or related program.
\xe2\x97\x8f One year or more of experience in a similar position with working knowledge of general office operations.
\xe2\x97\x8f Knowledge of basic payroll principles, post-secondary education related to payroll administration or related experience would be considered as an asset
\xe2\x97\x8f Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have exceptional time management skills
\xe2\x97\x8f Must be Bilingual in English and French
