About the Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Health Services Manager, the Ward Clerk will provide operational support and organizational assistance to the patient care area in the Medical/Surgical Unit.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Graduate of a post-secondary secretarial, office administration program or equivalent required
  • Medical Terminology is required
  • Recent certification in BLS or willing to obtain
  • Demonstrated interest in contributing to quality patient care is required
  • Experience/exposure to a health care setting is an asset
  • Working knowledge of computers and various software applications is required
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks required
  • Strong work ethic and adherence to confidentiality
  • Demonstrated skill in working collaboratively and effectively with others required
  • Ability and willingness to meet challenges and adapt to changing situations an asset
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered for this position
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Compensation and Incentives

$20.09 - $21.90 Hourly
