What is the opportunity?

The VP/Sr. Manager, Pricing & Analytics will

  • Contribute to the development of a competitive and sustainable pricing approach for USCM\xe2\x80\x99s term deposits, demand deposits and other types of deposits
  • Support the execution of be-spoke and real-time pricing for large amount of corporate deposits in close partnership with relationship managers, sales and money market desk
  • Provide input and insights as to the revenue enhancement across clients, deposits and other products at the total portfolio level
  • Recommend dynamic client pricing approach that help shape client, product and tenor mix to achieve a stable operational deposit base over time

This is an exciting time to join a start-up function within RBC, built from scratch and anchored in a technical/digital play vs. a traditional play, enabling RBC to compete with new entrants in this space!

What you will do?
  • Develop, set and monitor Client and Product level pricing for term deposits, demand deposits and other types of deposits
  • Perform the execution of daily transactions between USCM and internal RBC Stakeholders while developing strong relationships
  • Support the execution of be-spoke and real-time pricing for large amount of corporate deposits in close partnership with relationship managers, sales and money market desk
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data leading to valuable insights, conclusions, and decision-making
  • Build robust and flexible processes that can be run frequently and deliver consistent outcomes
  • Excellent partnership and communication with products, sales, technology within USCM for end-to-end pricing delivery
  • Stay current of market and competitive research on market pricing practices for corporate deposits pricing
  • Ability to negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders, including clients, on deposits pricing related topics
People Leadership & Collaboration
  • Works with team members to establish goals, drive performance management, support career development and reward strong performance.
  • Ability to forge strong relationships and routines with cross functional partners to drive strong business outcomes
What you need to succeed?

Required: University degree in a related field

Preferred: Graduate degree in a related field
  • Excellent knowledge of deposits liquidity value and rate beta quantification
  • Fluent with deposits product offerings and competitive pricing in the target market
  • Good grasp of asset liability management and balance sheet hedging (Treasury / fixed income portfolio management experience is preferred)
  • Solid understanding of derivatives and tractor/bond ladder in relate to deposits hedging
  • High degree of business and financial acumen
  • Able to perform data-driven analytics including the synthesis of complex data into meaningful insights
  • Able to work with x-functional teams and functional partners to design an efficient process architecture that adheres to all RBC policies and controls.
Committed to team\xe2\x80\x99s prompt delivery of bespoke and real-time pricing for large amount of corporate deposits
  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex messages, trade-offs and tell a compelling story
  • Have rigorous attention to detail with the ability to grasp big picture
  • Comfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlines
  • Experience leading or shaping large transformational efforts preferred
  • Professional designation (CFA/FRM/MBA) and/or Master in quantitative fields is highly desirable
  • Ability to drive innovation and continuous process improvement of team

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $140,000 - $165,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate\xe2\x80\x99s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
