Job Description

Robert Half is looking for a Director of Finance & Administration to join our client! As part of the management team, the Director of Finance and Administration must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. If you are an experienced Director of Finance and Administration with experience in a National, non-profit, membership-based organization looking for a challenging role at an established company, this may be the role for you.

Responsibilities

- Oversee the preparation of financial forecasts and outlooks

- Maintains and reviews budgeting and forecasting models

- Establish short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures

- Hire, train, and retain finance staff

- Manage the organizational structure of the department in order to achieve goals and objectives

- Take ownership of insurance and risk management

- Perform financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions

- Work with department managers to develop five-year business plans

- Propose benchmarks for analyzing financial and operating performance

- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget

- Manage daily operations of the finance and accounting department

- Ensure adherence to budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal

- Direct all financial reporting preparation

- Own financial planning and budget management functions

- Expert understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

- Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills

- Bachelor\'s degree in finance or accounting

- CPA required

- 10+ years of accounting and finance experience

- Efficiency in a variety of accounting and financial reporting systems

- Possess strong Microsoft Excel skills
