VP, Retail Operations

[Compensation: $125-175K base plus bonus]

On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a VP, Retail Operations to join and lead their team of dedicated professionals in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. This is a senior level position responsible to oversee all areas of operations and sales.

Responsibilities:

• Execute short-term and long-term initiatives set out by senior management with a focus on growing sales, volume, and margins.
• Manage goals for sales employees. Motivate, provide guidance and product knowledge to employees to obtain their goals.
• Management of talent acquisition - identify, recruit and hire qualified applicants.
• Management of customer satisfaction ensuring customers have the best experience, observing customer service by being present on the showroom floor. Ensure customers are properly greeted and helped, assist with customer service-related issues when necessary.
• Management of daily operations including oversight of the warehouse department and front desk/customer service staff. Ensure all aspects of the showroom run smoothly including development of the store schedule and act as the main communication link between sales staff and the other store departments.
• Analyze data to identify performance issues and implement improvements.

As the ideal candidate, you are a driven leader possessing several years of retail management experience with a track record of sales excellence, entrepreneurial spirit, team building and outstanding customer service. Experience working in an owner operated environment advising on strategic initiatives and revenue growth opportunities will be preferred, ideally partnering with senior management to run the sales operations. Highly motivated and self-driven, you possess excellent judgement and decision-making skills. A continuous improvement mindset, positive attitude, and desire to succeed is essential. The ability to connect with a wide range of customers and demonstrate a high sense of integrity and respect for confidentiality will be key to success in this role. With exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you possess strong business acumen and are highly analytical by nature. Flexibility to work extended/flexible hours is required.
