The VP of Quality and Clinical Services position is a critical role with overall accountability for the quality and effectiveness of clinical services across the organization.

Responsibilities:



Provides direct management, mentors and develops a team of Clinical Directors to ensure optimal quality and effective clinical services are provided across the organization. Leads and supports the clinical leadership teams at all LTC homes on quality and clinical processes, policies, services, and best practices. Contributes to the development and implementation of strategic plans for the quality and clinical services team. In collaboration with the VP of Quality & Clinical Services, leads all activities associated with a Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) and coaches LTC Homes' BPSO Teams in implementation of Best Practice Guidelines. Addresses ethical clinical dilemmas and ensures outcomes are aligned within the Company's ethical framework. Anticipates and identifies quality and clinical issues and provides strategic direction and mitigation strategies to address identified risks. Ensures compliance with all relevant legislation including but not limited to: Ministry Acts, Regulations, policies and procedures, directives, etc. Leads and supports quality and clinical initiatives and projects with a focus to continuously improve clinical services, as required. Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to ensure quality services are provided to residents. Supports, facilitates, and implements InterRAI LTCF for all LTC homes. Attends Executive Leadership meetings and in the absence of the VP of Quality & Clinical Services, assumes their duties. Prepares and communicates metrics on quality and clinical performance, as required. Develops educational material and facilitates education as required. Work in accordance with the organization's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Qualifications:



Current registration as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Must have a minimum of ten (10) years' working experience in a senior management position and work experience in a leadership capacity within the long-term care sector.
Must posses a strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and tools.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, collaborator, and team builder.
Must posses excellent written and oral communication skills.
Sound knowledge of the Fixing Long-Term Care Homes Act 2021, Ontario Regulations 246/10.
Strong relationship building abilities and analytical skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Point Click Care and other computerized documentation systems.
