Robert Half is proud to partner with a respected downtown Calgary-based organization in their search for a VP Finance to join their executive leadership team. This in-office role offers an excellent opportunity to play an instrumental part in guiding financial strategy and ensuring the highest standards of reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation
• Oversee internal controls and ensure adherence to established policies, regulatory standards, and best practices
• Manage cash flow, capital planning, and financing activities, providing key insights and recommendations to the executive team
• Present financial results and strategic analysis to senior management and the board
• Mentor and lead accounting and finance staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability
• Implement financial system and process improvements to support business growth
• Support strategic decision-making on mergers, acquisitions, and capital investments

Requirements:

• CPA designation is required.
• Previous experience as a VP Finance or similar role
• History of excellence in financial reporting, planning, and analysis within mid-sized or large organizations
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to executive and non-financial audiences
• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced financial analysis tools
