Role Description

Are you looking for an opportunity to volunteer with an organization that is trying to make an impact on youth

Are you a high school student that needs volunteer hours and wants to help impact lives, than this role is perfect for you.

This role is primarily remote with flexibility in hours. There may be opportunities to participate in in-person activities, depending on organizational requirements and ongoing projects

The Volunteer or Youth Volunteer will be responsible for the following (specific duties will vary depending on volunteer interests and organizational needs):

Conducting research on charitable activities and assisting with the filing of a charity application to the CRA. Assisting with weekly in-person programs (on occasion) Compiling Contact Lists (churches and local businesses) and sending cold-emails and cold-calls (as needed) Researching and compiling grant and funding lists Participating in Director Board Meetings, and provide insights as needed Assisting in creating marketing campaigns (print, digital, social media, in-person, etc.) Updating organization website

Qualifications

Experience with Youth Leadership or Youth Programs (preferred but not required) Excellent Communication skills Strong organizational and planning abilities Passion for working with youth Ability to work effectively as part of a team Excellent attention to detail Ability to complete tasks with limited oversight Excellent ability to take initiative on new tasks
Please note all volunteers will need to complete a vulnerable sector check before attending any in-person youth program sessions.

Job Type: Part-time
