MAKING AN IMPACT





The Volunteer Experience team is responsible for recruiting and maintaining effective volunteer support for CCS throughout an annual cycle of campaigns and activities. The team establishes and implements standards of practice, tools, resources, and support for volunteers and staff partners throughout the volunteer cycle.


Reporting to the Manager, Fundraising Recruitment, the Volunteer Experience Business Partner - Fundraising is a nationwide position that provides leadership to the Relay for Life campaign and relationship management of CCS volunteers, IFE recruitment. This role will also support the CIBC Run for the Cure campaign and the two major events taking place in Montreal - Gala des Grands Chefs and Daffodil Ball and the CCS Corporate Partnership team.


The position is accountable for informing priorities and plans and innovative initiatives to increase effectiveness and engagement of new and existing volunteers for the Fundraising campaigns and initiatives. Volunteer relationships are pivotal to organizational success and this role will have a strong focus on ensuring that new and existing volunteers are involved, supported, and recognized throughout their volunteer cycle at CCS.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

:



1.

Stakeholder Engagement



Works collaboratively with key stakeholders within Signature Programs team, the Partnership team, IFES,and other fundraising campaigns to develop volunteer priorities and recruitment plans that meet both organizational needs and volunteer interests. Support staff partners on CCS teams in relationship management for volunteers and provide training as required within VE team objectives. Establishes and cultivates strong relationships with external parties and stakeholders to ensure support of volunteer recruitment and involvement related to Signature Programs, the Sports Alliance team and other fundraising initiatives. Creates a shared sense of the importance of volunteer engagement for achieving organizational objectives by recognizing and celebrating successes. Support staff partners on CCS teams in relationship management for volunteers and provide training as required within VE team objectives.

Volunteer Experience Team Contributions



In collaboration with the Volunteer Experience and business area teams, is accountable for the development of annual work-plan and targets in priority areas in the Relay for Life campaign and regularly assessing volunteer needs within the business area portfolio. Accountable for the development of annual work-plan and targets and VE priorities in program areas. Works collaboratively with the VE team to develop supporting resources and disseminate to staff and volunteers as required to meet VE team objectives for the Relay for Life campaign and other Fundraising campaigns. Works closely and collaboratively with VE team for a consistent and integrated volunteer experience across business areas and geographic locations. Works with the VEBP Media and Communications in establishing annual marketing and communications plans that support the Relay for Life campaigns and Fundraising activities.

Volunteer Experience Management



Works closely with the VE staff team to develop and support integrated activities and programs that engage volunteers within the established standards of volunteer practice. Keep current and up to date on volunteer knowledge and trends. Ensure the accurate and consistent management of volunteer data in the OneCRM in assigned volunteer activities and programs. Work collaboratively with the VE team to meet overall VE team objectives and to specifically support volunteer activities and programs nationwide. Works closely and collaboratively with VE team for a consistent and integrated volunteer experience across business areas and geographic locations. QUALIFICATIONS:



Undergraduate degree in a related field (e.g., non-profit management, HR management, education) or equivalent in volunteer management experience. 2-3 years relevant experience. Bilingualism (French/English) is required due to the organization's nationwide operations and the need for effective communication across various regions. Previous experience working in a Bilingual role is considered an asset. Experience working within a nationwide team, with the ability to think about the bigger picture and capacity to manage large projects and intricate details. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and exercise sound relational judgement and diplomacy with a diverse group of volunteers, staff, stakeholders and donors, and the public. An effective team player, autonomous and efficient, capacity to set priorities and meet recruitment responsibilities. Experience managing and engaging leadership committee volunteers Experience using database management tools such as Salesforce Proficiency in Microsoft tools including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint Demonstrated skills in analysing data and trends in mobilization, recruitment, and engagement Intellectual curiosity and empathy Fosters connections by putting people first and building trusting relationships at all levels. Adaptability, flexibility and resilient in a complex environment with constant change. Belief in effective solutions for every challenge, is optimistic and enthusiastic, able to sort order from chaos and the capacity to produce results working to tight timelines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak and write succinctly and clearly for a variety of audiences. Others may apply
