Summary

We are seeking a passionate Volunteer Coordinator to join our team in Winnipeg. In this role, you will play a vital part in organizing and managing volunteer activities that support our mission of enriching the lives of seniors. Your leadership will help create a welcoming environment for both volunteers and participants.

Responsibilities

Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, and retention efforts. Develop and implement volunteer programs that align with organizational goals. Supervise volunteers during events and activities to ensure smooth operations. Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours and contributions. Collaborate with staff to identify areas where volunteers can make an impact. Facilitate communication between volunteers and management. Organize outreach initiatives to promote volunteer opportunities. Evaluate volunteer programs and make recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

Proven experience in supervising or managing teams. Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask effectively. Excellent public speaking and communication abilities. Background in administrative tasks related to volunteer coordination. Leadership experience in a community or non-profit setting is preferred. Familiarity with marketing strategies to attract volunteers is a plus. Ability to collect data and analyze program effectiveness. Experience in teaching or training is beneficial.
