Position
Reporting to the VP, Impact & Partnerships, the
Volunteer & Community Engagement Coordinator
is the heart of our volunteer program - the welcoming face that connects people with purpose. This role is all about building relationships, sparking enthusiasm, and creating memorable, meaningful volunteer experiences that bring our mission to life. Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for all volunteer inquiries, providing a warm, informative, and engaging first impression of the Regina Food Bank
Develop and implement a dynamic volunteer recruitment strategy
Actively represent the Food Bank at community events, job fairs, and local gatherings
Create and deliver compelling presentations to diverse groups, including schools, corporations, and community organizations, to attract and engage potential volunteers
Facilitate engaging volunteer sessions that inspire commitment to the Food Bank's mission
Cultivate and nurture long-term relationships with individual volunteers, corporate partners, and community groups to foster ongoing engagement
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop inspiring volunteer stories and testimonials for use in recruitment and recognition efforts
Organize and host volunteer appreciation events that celebrate contributions and strengthen the volunteer community
Provide exceptional customer service to volunteers, ensuring their questions are answered promptly and their experiences are positive
Mediate and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise within the volunteer program with diplomacy and empathy
Continuously gather feedback from volunteers and implement improvements to enhance the volunteer experience

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce, Arts, Social Sciences or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends for community events and volunteer activities
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for community outreach activities
Experience in volunteering locally and/or internationally
Experience in volunteer recruitment through various channels (an asset)
Proven track record of public speaking and community engagement
Experience in event planning and execution
Proficiency in volunteer management software and social media platforms (an asset)
Passionate about the Regina Food Bank's mission
Compensation
This is an outstanding opportunity to make a meaningful impact with a highly visible non-profit organization and to work as part of a dedicated, high-performing team at the Regina Food Bank. We offer a competitive compensation package, including benefits, with a starting salary range of $45,000 to $60,000 annually.
