To teach students/kids/children how to sing (ie: technique, note reading, breathing, projecting in their songs).
Responsibilities *
Plan lessons and resources
Teach vocal and breathing exercises and techniques
Help students prepare for upcoming performances
follow studio policies (to be discussed during interview)
to interact and stay organized with studio manager
respond to emails or text quickly
punctual start and end of lesson time with each student, along with perfect attendance
organized in keeping tabs on schedule, demos, and make-ups.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities *
excellent vocal skills
a good knowledge of singing styles (esp. pop, jazz, and musical theater)
patient and enthusiastic
good communication skills
self - motivated and good organizational skills
a good sense of humor and comfortable talking with students and parents
Education & Experience *
Teacher must be familiar with classical, jazz, musical theater, and pop music.
