Voice & Piano Instructor -- Harmony Heights (Langley)

Overview

Harmony Heights is seeking a

passionate Voice Instructor

(piano welcome) to join our friendly, growth-minded team. The ideal candidate brings musicianship, classroom presence, and a kind, student-first approach. Creativity, patience, and the ability to meet learners where they are matter as much as technical skill.

Mondays

,

Wednesdays

plus

one additional day

preferred (Friday or Saturday).

Duties

Plan and teach engaging private lessons that build skills and confidence. Study and implement our

demo lesson

process to convert first lessons into ongoing registrations. Assess progress and give clear, constructive feedback. Communicate effectively with parents and staff; maintain a welcoming studio vibe. Prepare thoughtfully so every student feels successful and enjoys learning. Stay current with effective teaching practices and tools.

Qualifications & Nice-to-Haves

Post-secondary music training

and/or

equivalent teaching experience. Strong ability to teach

voice

across styles (pop, musical theatre, classical, rock, jazz, etc.);

bonus:

able to teach

beginner-intermediate piano

.

Skilled with young beginners (ages 5+) and adapting to diverse learning needs; experience with students with special learning needs is an asset. Clear communicator; reliable with time management and lesson prep. Able to

transpose/arrange

simple parts on the spot for song requests. Familiarity with

RCM

(voice or piano) is a plus.

Availability

Mondays and/or Wednesdays required

Compensation

Competitive, experience-based rates.

Mobile lessons

available at a higher pay rate for added flexibility.
