As part of this transformation, we are making significant investments into our data structures and policies to increase the quality of our data, the confidence of our business teams to use this data to make decisions and drive value through the use of data.Job PurposeThe VMO Analyst of the Information Technology Vendor Management Office (IT VMO) is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the relationships between McCain Foods and the information technology vendors. This role involves supporting the development and implementation of vendor management strategies, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements, and driving cost-effective solutions. The IT VMO Analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of IT vendor relationships to meet the organization\'s business objectives.Key AccountabilitiesVendor Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors.
  • Regularly engage with key vendor contacts to understand their capabilities, offerings, and strategic direction.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the course of vendor relationships.
  • Manage periodic formal vendor review sessions such as quarterly or semi annual vendor reviews.
Contract Negotiation and Compliance:
  • Support the negotiation of IT vendor contracts in collaboration with Procurement, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the organization.
  • Lead the negotiation of contract renewals and conduct regular price benchmarks with key vendors.
  • Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to review, approve, and manage contracts.
  • Monitor and report on contract compliance, including service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics.
Cost Management:
  • Work to optimize vendor-related costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Conduct regular cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the value delivered by each vendor.
  • Work with vendors and business line leaders to identify and implement cost efficiencies. This includes identifying areas within the vendor value chains to offer greater value to McCain Foods.
  • Support price benchmarking within line of contracts to ensure McCain Foods is receiving the best fees from vendors.
Vendor Performance and Quality Assurance:
  • Maintain and report on performance metrics to assess vendor performance.
  • Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and provide feedback.
  • Ensure vendors adhere to quality standards and meet the organization\'s expectations.
Risk Management:
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with vendor relationships. Focus on cyber-security, geo-political and financial risks associated with vendors.
  • Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and changes that may impact vendor relationships.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, and executives, to understand their requirements and expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to facilitate the successful execution of projects and services.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance the IT VMO processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and implement improvements accordingly.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business, information technology, or a related field.
  • Two plus years of experience in IT vendor management or a related role.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of IT systems, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess and manage risks.
  • Project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
