Job Description

Canadian Tire Steinbach is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join their Visual Merchandising Team. This position is both physically straining and mentally challenging, perfect for die-hard problem solvers. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organization skills. This position is full time (40 hours/week) and permanent, beginning in January 2026.

Job Responsibilities

Ensure that every item in Canadian Tire's assortment has an appropriate permanent aisle location

Work independently to design and implement product and aisle layouts in every department of the store

Install shelving, baskets and pegboard hooks according to safety standards

Ensure that each aisle layout is space-efficient and laid out in a way that the Canadian Tire customer can understand easily

Pack away out-of-season merchandise onto pallets or totes in an organized manner (spring and fall)

Collaborate with other members of the team to collect and weigh feedback from sales associates and take into account the consumer's perspective in order to make wise design decisions

Add individual new items to sections that are already set, adhering to the existing style and pattern

Set up end displays to reflect new seasons, exciting products, or great deals

Recognize under-utilized spaces in the store where displays or product can be placed

Create appealing visual displays that highlight less-commonly seen product and promote sales

Digitally create Point of Purchase cards for items that are too large to be on the sales floor

Retrieve any required fixtures for each project, and put away any unused shelving safely

Physical Requirements

Standing /walking for 8 hours

Can lift product ranging in weight from "light" to "heavy" with limited assistance

Ability to go up and down a ladder while carrying something
