Visual Merchandiser

to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of interior design, staging experience, and the ability to transform our showroom into visually captivating spaces that tell a story and enhance the shopping experience.

Job Overview



As a

Visual Merchandiser

at Wood N Tassel Home, you will be responsible for designing and executing visually stunning displays that highlight our furniture and decor collections. You will bring seasonal trends and design aesthetics to life, creating inviting, lifestyle-inspired setups that resonate with our customers. This role requires creativity, spatial awareness, and an understanding of retail display strategy within the furniture industry.

Key Responsibilities



Create Compelling Visual Displays:

Design and stage furniture, lighting, and decor in our showroom to showcase craftsmanship, quality, and design appeal.

Seasonal & Thematic Staging:

Develop and execute seasonal or themed displays (e.g., spring refresh, modern coastal, holiday collections) that align with promotions and sales goals.

Interior Design & Styling:

Use interior design principles to create cohesive room setups that demonstrate how Wood N Tassel products fit into real homes--whether cozy living rooms, dining spaces, or bedrooms.

Optimize Showroom Layout:

Plan floor layouts to maximize space, improve flow, and emphasize key product categories and new arrivals.

Collaborate with Teams:

Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align displays with new collections, campaigns, and in-store events.

Incorporate Design Trends:

Stay current on furniture and decor trends, ensuring the showroom always feels fresh, modern, and relevant to our brand aesthetic.

Enhance Product Presentation:

Use accessories, textiles, and color palettes to elevate furniture presentations and create emotional appeal.

Maintain & Refresh Displays:

Keep showroom displays clean, organized, and updated, adjusting as products sell or new pieces arrive.

Support Events & Promotions:

Create visual setups for in-store promotions, pop-ups, or events that attract customer engagement and increase foot traffic.

Customer Interaction:

Occasionally assist customers by sharing styling ideas and explaining design choices to enrich their shopping experience.

Qualifications & Skills



Experience:



Minimum 3 years of experience in visual merchandising, interior design, or home staging, preferably in the furniture or home decor industry.

Design Expertise:



Strong understanding of interior design styles such as modern, transitional, coastal, and Scandinavian. Proficiency in spatial planning, color coordination, and furniture arrangement.

Staging Skills:



Proven ability to stage furniture to tell a story and inspire customers. Skilled at creating displays that reflect functionality, comfort, and style.

Soft Skills:



Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for design aesthetics. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Physical Requirements:



Ability to lift and move furniture or decor items (up to 50 lbs). Comfortable working on ladders and being on the showroom floor for extended periods.
