Visual Art Teacher

Job Description

We are seeking a high quality art educator with the passion and thoughts for educating, inspiring and empowering individuals.

Responsibilities:

Manage and educate students in a classroom setting. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans. Adhere to established teaching curriculum. Maintain positive relationships with students. Maintain the health and safety of all students.
Requirements:

Be passionate in art. Love art education. Leadership and interpersonal connection. University degree specialized in visual arts fields. Experienced in traditional media (all of drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture, printmaking). Solid still life drawing and painting skills are required. Deep understanding of the fundamental concepts (elements and principles of design). Be skilled in creating and critiquing. Be familiar with Ontario Curriculum of Arts. Be capable of using office software, Google classroom and relevant electronic devices. Advanced skills of perspective drawing, plein air, drawn and painted figure, and knowledge about psychology, are the assets. Talents in other artistic categories like dancing, music, drama, etc. are the assets.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 6 per week
