Position Overview
The Visitor Experience & Admin Lead (Intern) plays a vital role in ensuring an exceptional experience for all park visitors while supporting the smooth operation of Kivi Park's facilities and programs. This position combines elements of visitor engagement, administrative coordination, and cafe support to help deliver a seamless guest experience from entry to exit.
Reporting to the Executive Director, this role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in tourism management, operations, customer service, and business administration within one of Northern Ontario's premier outdoor destinations.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist visitors, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive guest experience.
Oversee cafe and visitor check-in operations, ensuring efficient and friendly service.
Manage administrative functions, including point-of-sale tracking, inventory management, and booking coordination.
Respond to guest inquiries via email, phone, and in-person, maintaining professional and helpful communication.
Support event logistics and programming, including set-up, registration, and on-site coordination.
Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure the park's facilities meet high cleanliness and service standards.
Track visitor feedback and assist in implementing improvements to enhance the guest experience.
Support marketing and communications efforts, including newsletters and social media coordination where needed.

Qualifications
Post-secondary education in tourism, recreation, business, marketing, or a related field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, POS systems).
Enthusiastic about outdoor recreation, hospitality, and community engagement.
Must meet NOHFC Workforce Development Program eligibility requirements.

Candidate Criteria
Be a new entrant into the workforce, transitioning to a new career, or unemployed/underemployed and entering a new field.
Must not have previously participated in an NOHFC-funded internship under the 2020 mandate.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Once hired, must reside in the Northern Ontario community in which they are employed.
