The Aspen Films team is spread from coast-to-coast and we work with some of the largest and most recognizable organizations in Canada. Our projects include documentaries, corporate communication pieces, marketing content, event content and much more. We don't do weddings, funerals, or other similar projects; rather, our work is in the business-to-business space, and we are the only truly national corporate video production company in Canada.
Aspen Films is seeking applications from qualified individuals to fill a full-time Production Manager position in Vancouver, British Columbia.
This is a work-from-home position. As some Aspen Films locations have a local office, it is possible that this will be the case at some point in the future in Vancouver, but for the time being, the position will be a work-from-home position.
Production Manager Duties include:
Project Management
Pre-production planning, creative, client interactions, some aspects of a producer-type role
Filming (interview, b-roll, aerial, event)
Photography
Other production tasks
Editing
Other post-production tasks
Sometimes leading a crew
Managing and scheduling subcontractors when necessary
This position is a full-time, salaried, management position
Generally, a Monday-Friday, office hours type work schedule
Due to the nature of video production, flexibility will be required on some evenings and weekends
Provision of full Aspen gear-kit for use after 3 months full-time
Requirements
Bachelor of Arts in Media Production or equivalent
Ideally, 3-5 years of experience in the industry working in all elements of pre-production through to post-production capacities, with provided samples where you handled all elements listed
Proven experience working both independently, as well as collaborating as part of a team, with the following client types: Indigenous, Non-profit, Associations, Private Business and Government. Must provide samples of previous clients that you have worked with
for each of the above listed client types
Proficient in the Sony ecosystem of gear
Proficient in Premier Pro
Experience in facilitating professional livestream work
Photography samples and experience an asset
