The Vice President, Human Resources drives the success of Rodeo FX\'s global organizational culture, ensuring that HR goals, policies, procedures, and programs adequately support our organization\'s mission, vision, and values. They report to the President and are an essential member of the Executive Leadership Team. In partnership with the President, they work closely with other members of the Executive Leadership Team and the HR team to set the tone for our workplace philosophy. This executive-level strategic leadership role will be accountable for all aspects of the Human Resources function, catering to the company\'s multi-site and international locations.

As the top HR Leader, this individual will possess an exceptional entrepreneurial spirit and a deep understanding of business dynamics. With a growth mindset, they\'ll be adept at aligning Human Resources strategies with business objectives, ensuring not only the well-being and development of employees but also the prosperity and competitiveness of the business.

Main responsibilities

  • Set objectives for their direct reports, aligning with Rodeo\'s global vision and its high-profile creative projects.
  • Review and update HR policies and processes including onboarding, offboarding, and performance reviews.
  • Lead the creation of a talent strategy-aligned employment value proposition catered to the distinctive needs of the creative industry, ensuring competitive remuneration plans and distinct employer offers.
  • Communicate the corporate vision and objectives to the HR team, emphasizing the support for our diverse artists and professionals.
  • Oversee the recruitment team, fostering innovation in candidate attraction strategies.
  • Facilitate a strong leadership and coaching culture.
  • Act as the key point of contact during HR working relation cases, implementing effective strategies.
  • Oversee the optimal assignment of creative and production resources, streamlining project efficiency.
  • Oversee the integration and continuous optimization of advanced HR technologies, notably HRIS, ensuring setup and regular updates of various HRIS modules.
  • Drive decisions using HR metrics and analytics, tailoring strategies for a creative workforce.
  • Lead HR\'s role in mergers and acquisitions, ensuring compliance across regions and demonstrating proficiency in managing acquisitions and integrations.
  • Oversee the work of HR Managers and Heads, guiding the delivery of strategic HR programs and initiatives, including various HR programs such as retention strategies and expatriate programs.
  • Establish a feedback loop, continuously engaging with employees at all levels.
  • Actively monitor the work environment, understanding and catering to the unique needs of a creative workforce, and leading culture-centric initiatives that align with Rodeo\'s values.
  • Supervise the facilities department, ensuring smooth office operations including health, safety, and evacuation plans.
  • Identify strategic shifts that necessitate training, spearheading the related plans and implementations.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, mentorship, and training to HR Managers and Heads, fostering their growth.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, labor laws, and knowledge, ensuring Rodeo FX stays at the forefront.
  • Positively represent Rodeo FX within the VFX community, strengthening our reputation as an epicenter of creativity and excellence.
  • Guide HR strategies across Rodeo FX\'s multiple international sites, ensuring alignment with regional legalities and cultural nuances and emphasizing the need for multi-site experience.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar position within the VFX industry, with senior management experience.
  • 15 years of progressive experience in diverse HR disciplines.
  • Experience with HR aspects of M&A, including cultural integration, talent retention, and harmonizing benefits across merging entities.
  • Membership in CHRP/CRHA or another governing professional body is desired.
  • Strong aptitude for utilizing HR technology tools and platforms, with a proactive approach to understanding and implementing emerging HR tech trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to harness HR metrics and analytics for decision-making.
  • Strong ethics, values, and the ability to convey them to direct reports.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Availability for occasional international travel, reflecting the multi-site and multi-country nature of the role.
