Job Description


The Vice President of Projects takes responsibility for the execution of projects. We are a projects-based company that designs and builds highly specialized and high performance test facilities, primarily wind tunnels, for the automotive and aerospace industries in North America, Europe and Asia.

  • Lead project delivery as a strategic advantage for current and future business opportunities.
  • Establish a Project Management Office (PMO) functionality within the company.
  • Ensure clear and robust project processes, from project startup to project closure, for Engineering, EPCM (Engineering Procurement Construction Management) and EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) projects, with a focus on efficiency, effectiveness and risk management.
  • Identify and mitigate risks proactively to avoid project delays or failures. Implement risk management and mitigation strategies for all projects.
  • Continuously review and improve all project processes and strategies.
  • Ensure the implementation of project controls for project scope, schedule, cost.
  • Mentor and develop a high performing project delivery team.
  • Represent and be accountable for project management with all external and internal stakeholders, including the company management team.
  • Coordinate with Vice President Business Development for integrating project managers in proposal activities and ensuring the smooth handover on award of contract.
  • Coordinate with Vice President Engineering for project delivery excellence.
  • Coordinate with Vice President Admin & Finance in aligning project portfolio delivery with overall business objectives.
  • Optimize resource allocation and utilization across multiple projects.
  • Engineering degree, or equivalent.
  • MBA, or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of experience in project management of multi-disciplinary integration projects, with exposure to engineered systems and industrial construction.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing project management teams and taking on responsibility for project management function.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking capabilities and goal focused approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
