Job Summary



The Vice President of Finance ("VPF") will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the organization. He/She will direct and oversee the financial activities of the Company, direct the preparation of all financial reports, performance summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth. The VPF must see risks and opportunities behind financial data and act as a strategic business partner to the Chief Executive Officer. The VPF will support the Company's growth objectives by managing lending and investor relationships. He/She must communicate effectively with the private equity sponsor and provide strategic support on M&A activities, including due diligence, transaction execution, and integration. The VPF will work closely with the senior management team and the Board of Directors of the Company. He/She must possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and be an expert on all financial and tax matters relating to the organization.

Target Compensation Range


• Competitive salary, bonus, and equity participation commensurate with individual experience


Supervisory Responsibilities


• Oversees accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions
• Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors of the Company


Duties/Responsibilities


• Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, statement of cash flows, monthly shareholder reports, quarterly board packages, tax returns, and governmental agency reports
• Manages annual financial audit with third party accounting firm
• Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets
• Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods
• Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination
• Works with the CEO and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the budget process
• Studies long-range economic trends and projects business impacts on future growth in sales and market share
• Identifies opportunities for expansion into new product or services capabilities
• Manages leading relationships and monthly bank compliance reports
• Supports M&A due diligence, execution, planning, integration, and reporting
• Leads all financial performance communication to the Board of Directors


Required Skills/Abilities


• Proven experience as a VP of Finance, Director of Finance, or relevant role
• Excellent management and supervisory skills
• Superb analytical and organizational skills
• Proficient in accounting general ledger or ERP software applications such as Microsoft Business Central, Netsuite, or Intaact (our ERP)
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Strong and proven leadership capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to strategically solve problems
• Experience managing financial audits and private equity backed financial reporting


Education and Experience


• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required
• Certified Public Accountant designation required
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred
• Ten plus years of experience in accounting, business administration or financial management required
