We are currently seeking a Marketing Vice President to join the marketing team in Toronto to support our Corporate Finance (CF) and Valuation Advisory Services (VAS) business units in North America. The Marketing Vice President will manage a team of 4 people and will work with other pan-regional business marketers to provide support with strategic marketing initiatives and execution.   • Develop and execute impactful, strategic marketing plans for the VAS and CF businesses in North America, employing a full range of tactics including events (hosted, sponsorships and virtual), development of collateral and sales tools, thought leadership reports, investment banking deal announcements and industry reports, digital communications, case studies, advertising, public relations, etc.
  • Originate fresh, creative ideas to promote our capabilities and show up differently to maximize marketing impact and build brand recognition for VAS and CF services.
  • Identify opportunities for VAS and CF to pursue joint marketing initiatives.
  • Directly manage a team of 3 and ensure they are fully utilized, supporting both the VAS and CF businesses.
  • Working closely with the content marketing leader oversee production and marketing of Kroll industry reports, ensuring they are widely distributed to relevant firm contacts. Identify opportunities to enhance cross-service content in existing reports and identify new reports that fill gaps that are of strategic importance to our business and appropriate to pursue as a firm.
  • Maximize exposure of valuation services thought leadership through public relations activities and social media, ensuring PR agencies deliver against agreed objectives and regularly report performance.
  • Support development of new service line messaging in line with overall Kroll brand and refresh collateral and sales tools accordingly.
  • Provide regular reporting on marketing metrics for VAS and CF. Track and regularly report data and insights on key performance indicators for marketing campaigns to business leaders.
  • Attend selected events and conferences to manage exhibit booth and represent our firm and our services when networking with participants.
  • Cultivate relationships with marketing partners/industry organizations to collaborate on events and content opportunities that increase our reach and drive brand awareness
  • Maximize the use of both internal marketing resources and external vendors to successfully execute
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand goals and objectives, provide guidance and execute strategic marketing programs in line with budgets and the commercial opportunity.
  • Champion cross-service marketing initiatives by developing a deep understanding of firm-wide services
  • Work closely with business development teams to ensure they have the sales tools needed to effectively sell VAS/CF services.
  • Perform market, client and competitive analysis to understand the business environment, and originate marketing campaigns that are reflective of current trends and service opportunities
  • Deliver marketing results against a managed budget, measure and report on return on investment for all marketing activities and adjust tactics accordingly after analysis of key performance metrics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Marketing/communications professional with a minimum of 8 - 12 years relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing or Communications, with concentration in business preferred
  • Experience marketing professional services is preferred
  • Willingness to learn all aspects of the businesses supported to maximize marketing impact
  • Experience collaborating with teams in a large, matrix organization
  • Confident in presenting original thought, recommendations and points of view to senior leaders, both written and verbally
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with senior stakeholders and act as a trusted business adviser
  • Strong project management and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong digital marketing skills
  • Demonstrated experience in using marketing analytics to optimize programs and measure success against defined KPIs.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in planning, producing and executing strategic, client-focused marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Background in public relations and understanding of financial media relations is desirable
  • Ability to work well in a virtual team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management, strong team player
  • Proactive, responsive and works well under pressure and can effectively and professionally handle challenges
  • Experience in measuring the effectiveness of communication strategies and approaches
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Knowledgeable in all aspects of Microsoft Office and ancillary programs
  • 10 – 20% travel required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse communities
  • Experience working with diverse teams
