The Site:

The Toronto Vaccines Site is producing pediatric and booster combination vaccines (ACEL family of products) and diagnostic products, some of which contain antigens from other Sanofi Vaccines sites, and others which are sent to other sites for filling and packaging. The site is located in TORONTO, Ontario Canada and is hosting the Headquarters for Sanofi Canada.

The site is part of Manufacturing & Supply Vaccines GBU.

The Vice President Industrial Operations Canada/Site Head provides leadership and oversight of site teams to deliver the multiple dimensions of industrial excellence (safety, quality, supply, cost, involvement, projects) and to deliver defined ambition and performance.

She / He enables the right environment for people to collaborate, grow and develop their career within the company and leads the social agenda of the site in relation with local elected union representatives.

The Site Head role will create an environment of openness & collaboration maximizing the contribution of the Global supportive functions towards the industrial sites, that will translate the strategy into tangible outcomes of the site for patients. This connectivity will allow to deliver a best-in-class level of performance.

About you

Experience:
  • Higher level technical/scientific education (BSc/MSc).
  • Experience in pharmaceuticals/production environment
  • Strong knowledge of quality, compliance matters, manufacturing excellence and HSE
  • Proven track record of multifunctional diverse teams.
  • Proven experience in managing large projects requiring financial and business acumen, leading large cross functional teams
  • Results and performance driven.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Depending on the country local language required

  • Production & Operation management expertise in a pharmaceutical environment, with good command of performance KPI and budget setting, monitoring and goal achievement, incl. Lean and Supply Chain principles
  • Thorough knowledge of EHS requirements as well as of cGMP and Quality regulations, incl. successful demonstrated safety achievements and good track-record in an EMA / FDA environment (PAI and GMP-inspections)
  • Drug substance production and testing process knowledge, incl. biologics
  • Good practice & understanding of new technologies & digital tools (predictive maintenance
