ABOUT THE ROLE



Reporting directly to the

President & CEO

, the

Senior Director / Vice President of Finance & Controllership

is a

key executive leadership role

with significant influence on both financial governance and business strategy.

This executive will not only safeguard financial integrity but also be a

true business partner

to the C-suite--driving performance, efficiency, and profitability across multiple business units and verticals. The role also offers the opportunity to integrate

technology, AI, and advanced analytics

into the finance function to optimize decision-making and processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Finance Leadership & Oversight

Lead Corporate Accounting, Consolidation, Financial & Regulatory Reporting, Taxation, Internal Audit, Disbursements, Vendor & Expense Management, and Financial Analysis. Manage external auditors, regulators, and tax authorities with transparency and efficiency.

Strategic Partnering

Support growth initiatives, M&A, and diversification strategies. Drive operational performance improvement and financial planning excellence.

Advanced Financial Processes

Leverage IT, AI, automation, and data analytics to optimize finance and reporting functions. Lead modernization of systems and ensure best-in-class processes.

Governance & Board

(Executive Leadership Team)

Reporting

Present financial performance and outlook to the Board and Audit Committee. Ensure compliance with Canadian and international standards.

QUALIFICATIONS



CPA designation (CA, CMA, CGA). 10-12+ years of progressive leadership experience in finance, ideally at the

VP or Senior Director level

. Strong background in

Retail, Consumer Goods, or Multi-Unit Operations

. Proven experience in

financial reporting, consolidation, and compliance

across multi-entity structures. Solid exposure to

IT-driven finance optimization, AI, or advanced data analytics

. Strong negotiation, M&A, and business planning experience. Natural leader with a track record of building high-performing finance teams. Bilingualism (English/French) considered a strong asset.
