We are looking for an experienced Vice President of Finance to lead the financial strategy and operations of our organization in the Development/hospitality industry. This role requires a proactive leader who can optimize financial performance, oversee key business functions, and drive strategic growth. Based in the GTA this position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization's long-term objectives.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to ensure accurate and insightful reporting.
  • Lead and manage financial operations, including accounting, payroll, and compliance.
  • Lead capital planning and allocation efforts, including evaluating investment opportunities to enhance revenue generation.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and prepare accurate reports for stakeholders while presenting actionable insights to drive business performance.
  • Evaluate and optimize the use of cloud technologies and CRM systems to enhance financial processes.
  • Setting up credit facilities and preparing financial reports for banks.
  • Provide leadership in networking and building relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards across all financial and operational activities.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and financial optimization.
  • Guide the organization through ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Support executive decision-making by delivering data-driven insights and recommendations.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in financial leadership roles, preferably within the development and hospitality industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA designation is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive finance and leadership experience, ideally within the development or construction sectors.
  • Proven ability to establish and achieve strategic financial goals, with a strong grasp of business operations and industry trends
  • Exceptional leadership skills with demonstrated success in managing and mentoring teams.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and influence stakeholders at all company levels.
  • Proven ability to drive optimization and efficiency across financial and operational activities.
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to support strategic decision-making.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams.
