Job Description

Sinking Ship Entertainment is currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic VFX Tracking/Layout Artist to join our talented VFX crew. If you are a motivated VFX artist with industry experience and are looking to work with an award winning team, lets talk!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recreate the set, objects & camera motion of a shot matching live action footage
• Setup each shot by camera tracking and/or object tracking live action plates
• Add required assets and block in their positions
• Create proxy objects based on supplied on-set & survey data
• Work collaboratively with team members, leads, supervisors and producers to effectively & efficiently meet assigned weekly quotas
• Take direction & provide solutions to create natural performance-driven character/creature motion
• Manage time, expectations and resources to meet deadlines
• Attend reviews and team meetings as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years experience of animation for feature films and/or high-end television series working on CG/live-action projects a plus
• Must be proficient with Maya & experienced with PFTrack
• Demonstrated knowledge of cinematography including composition, perspective & lenses
• Ability to take on assigned tasks with minimum supervision
• Ability to take direction/critiques positively and thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines
• Experience with Shotgun a plus
• Preference is only given to Ontario residents, qualified Canadian citizens, Permanent Residents of Canada or those eligible under NAFTA
