Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in the care and treatment of animals. Your expertise will contribute to the health and well-being of pets while ensuring a positive experience for both animals and their owners.

Duties

Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian Monitor the health and behavior of animals before, during, and after procedures Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventative health measures Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments Provide compassionate care to animals in distress or pain

Requirements

Completion of an accredited veterinary technician program Certification or licensure as a veterinary technician (as required by state regulations) Strong laboratory experience is highly desirable Excellent communication skills with both team members and pet owners Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately in various situations Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if necessary

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
