Tilbury Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care to our patients and support to our veterinary staff. Your expertise will contribute to the overall health and well-being of animals, ensuring they receive the best possible treatment in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any changes to the veterinarian Maintain accurate medical records for each patient Prepare animals for surgery and assist in post-operative care Educate pet owners on proper animal care and health practices Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including equipment sterilization

Experience

Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role is preferred Laboratory experience is highly desirable, with skills in performing diagnostic tests Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing exceptional care
