We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Veterinary Tech Assistant / Client Care specialist to join our team. This role provides vital support in animal care and client communication.

We're a friendly, fast-paced 3+ doctors practice that cares for both small animals and exotics (about 70% exotic patients and 30% cats/dogs).

Duties

for VTA position include, but are not limited to:

Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with animal restraint, handling, and care during examinations to ensure safety for animals and staff. Taking patient history in the exam room with clients and reporting back to the doctor. Support in animal husbandry tasks including feeding and cleaning kennels. Helping to take x-rays Help with laboratory procedures including holding for sample collection and running in house labs. Educate pet owners on post-treatment instructions. Support in veterinary critical care situations by providing necessary assistance under supervision. Maintain cleanliness of the clinic environment, including sterilization of equipment and treatment areas.

Duties for Client Care include, but are not limited to:

Greet clients with warmth and professionalism, whether in person, over the phone, or by email Help coordinate care by scheduling appointments and surgeries, triaging emergencies, and admitting patients Support our team with invoicing, reminders, and follow-ups Keep the clinic running smoothly by managing a busy multi-doctor schedule

What we're looking for:

A positive attitude and a helpful, team-focused approach Strong communication and multitasking skills Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced setting 1+ year of experience in a veterinary office (required) Customer service experience (preferred) Experience with Idexx Neo software and Covet is a bonus (but not required) A graduate of a Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist program is preferred

Wage will be assessed according to experience.
