Any interest in Veterinary Ophthalmology? We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team at a stand-alone veterinary ophthalmology specialty clinic. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced veterinary environment. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and the well-being of our furry patients.

Responsibilities

Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments, manage the calendar, and follow up with clients regarding upcoming visits. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries about services, procedures, and pet care. Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the clinic's database. Process payments and handle billing inquiries efficiently. Assist veterinary staff with patient handling as needed. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Handle any client concerns or complaints professionally and empathetically.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service. Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record-keeping. Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and laboratory procedures is preferred. Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail. Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners, demonstrating empathy in all interactions.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
