Role Overview



As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience. You'll assist with scheduling appointments, managing communications, billing and supporting the veterinary team in providing top-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities



Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments, confirm bookings and manage reminders. Ensure the hospitals calendar is managed efficiently. Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date. Process payments, issue invoices, and handle billing inquiries with professionalism. Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing and inventory management. Coordinate with the veterinary team to ensure smooth daily operations. Provide clients with information on pet health, wellness programs, and preventive care. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Handle sensitive situations, such as pet emergencies, with care and discretion.

Qualifications



Previous experience in a receptionist or a customer service role (experience in a veterinary or medical setting is preferred). Proficiency with computer systems (experience with veterinary software is a plus). Knowledge of laboratory procedures and terminology related to veterinary medicine is highly desirable but not required. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
