We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. Your ability to multitask and communicate effectively will be essential in ensuring a smooth experience for both clients and their pets.
Duties
Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism as they arrive at the clinic.
Schedule appointments, manage the calendar, and confirm upcoming visits.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, treatments, and pet care.
Maintain accurate patient records, including updating medical histories and treatment plans.
Process payments and handle billing inquiries with attention to detail.
Assist veterinary staff with laboratory tasks as needed, ensuring samples are properly labeled and prepared.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area to create a welcoming environment for clients.
Provide information on pet health care products and services offered by the clinic.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred but not required.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanor.
Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record-keeping.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Familiarity with laboratory procedures is a plus, enhancing support for veterinary staff.
