Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming environment for both clients and pets. A strong background in veterinary care and animal handling is essential to support our team in delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities



Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism as they arrive at the clinic. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, medications, and pet care. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date in the system. Assist with client education on pet care, medication administration, and preventive health measures. Handle payments and manage billing inquiries with accuracy. Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and waiting room.

Skills



Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology. Experience in animal handling, including dog handling and animal restraint techniques. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and aseptic techniques. Background in kennel operations or animal husbandry preferred. Previous experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable. Understanding of laboratory procedures related to veterinary care is a plus. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
