Overview

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to our animal patients and supporting our veterinary staff in delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Our hours are 8am to midnight. Shifts are 8-10hr. Most weekends required (alternating with other staff, 2-3 weekends per month). Evening shifts are required - must be available to work until midnight.

Duties

Perform vital checks for patients in clinic for appointments and hospitalization Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals. Assist technician in preparing animals for surgery Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilizing instruments and cleaning examination rooms. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' health and care. Keep patient records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.

Experience

Minimum 1 year previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a similar role is required Knowledge of basic animal behaviour and handling technique. Ability to work in fast pace environment. Ability to lift and restrain animals up to 50 lbs. We are

a hands-free clinic. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are essential. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing excellent care are critical for success in this position.
