We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for animal care, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date. Process payments and handle billing inquiries with professionalism. Assist veterinary staff with laboratory tasks as needed, including preparing samples for testing. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Provide clients with information on pet health care products and services offered by the clinic.

Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record keeping. Familiarity with laboratory procedures is a plus, enhancing support for veterinary staff. Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners, demonstrating empathy in all interactions. Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail. A minimum of one year experience in the industry.
