Join our companionate, community-focused veterinary clinic in the heart of Kitsilano. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to a variety of animals, diagnosing illnesses, and developing treatment plans. This role requires a strong commitment to animal welfare and the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners about their animals' health needs.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any issues. Administer vaccinations and medications as needed. Perform surgical procedures and manage anesthesia during operations. Interpret laboratory results and utilize diagnostic imaging to aid in treatment decisions. Develop treatment plans tailored to individual animal needs and educate pet owners on proper care. Maintain accurate medical records for all patients and ensure compliance with veterinary regulations. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to provide exceptional care. Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Skills

Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, including diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures. Proficiency in laboratory techniques for analyzing samples and interpreting results. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. Compassionate approach towards animals, demonstrating empathy and understanding in stressful situations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80.00-$100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
