Overview

Heritage Hills Veterinary Clinic is under new management and looking to add to our team! We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Locum Veterinarian to join our team. We are seeking a locum position to fill every other Saturday, from 9am-3pm.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, with the ability to diagnose and treat a variety of animal health issues. Our clinic is committed to providing high-quality veterinary services in a supportive environment, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients and their owners.

Duties

Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any medical conditions. Develop treatment plans that may include medications, surgeries, or other therapies. Administer vaccinations and preventative care to promote overall health in animals. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animal's health, treatment options, and preventive care. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations. Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Experience

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution is required. Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory; new graduates are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in laboratory procedures and diagnostics is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their pets. A commitment to providing compassionate care and advocating for animal welfare.
