Responsibilities:
- Clean, disinfect, and re-set dog/cat kennels and litterboxes, maintaining a high level of sanitization.
- Spread fresh litter and bedding materials like straw, paper, sawdust, or gravel.
- Clean floors and garage using brooms, mops, pressure washer, spray foamer, and motorized floor scrubber - training will be provided.
- Refill supplies such as food, litter, etc.
- Wash dishes and laundry.
- Collect and take out the trash.
- Coordinating cleaning activities with the vet team to ensure kennels are available as needed.
- Minimum of two years working in an animal shelter is required.
- Must be able to lift, bend, squat, and stand throughout the day.
- Must be comfortable working in a noisy environment, and exposure to a dog barking (hearing protection will be available).
- Will be required to pick up animal feces, PPE will be available on site.
- Must be team-oriented and also able to work well independently.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Great communication skills, spoken and written.
