As the Venue Sales Coordinator, you promote and deliver group sales to venues within your assigned portfolio. Working closely with operators (General Managers) and under the strategic guidance of the Director of Venue Operations, you showcase our venues' diverse offerings to current and potential guests through strategic and innovative outreach campaigns, receive and coordinate inbound inquiries, and identify and activate new market segments. You ensure group events in our locations are planned thoughtfully and thoroughly, and executed to a consistently high standard. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ensures successful execution of client events while adhering to related policies, procedures and processes
Leverages blend of digital and traditional channels to increase awareness of our venues, programming and offerings for a wide array of group and special event bookings, rentals and buy-outs
Networks and seeks out new clients; participates in local hospitality meetings and events and delivering marketing initiatives suitable to group booking clients
In partnership with key stakeholders, develops sales packages, catering and beverage offerings, and materials that educate and engage our client group
In collaboration with operational leadership, works to fill venue calendars to complement existing schedules
Negotiates and oversees event contracts with timely delivery to client
Ensures that event administration (deposits, event spec, final invoices, etc) are received and communicated with stakeholder group by established deadlines
Provides outstanding customer service from initial contact through event development and execution, with appropriate follow up
In partnership with operational leadership, plans timeline and logistics of each event, including use of space, group size, catering, set-up and tear down
Ensures all aspects of the event plan are communicated to client and internal stakeholders, particularly operations
Acts as primary liaison for group points of contact, ensures event is handed over to operations as needed
Refers large-party reservations to appropriate operations leader
Using preferred internal toolset, tracks and reports on group booking performance (quantity, quality, revenue)
Stays up to date on current event trends
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum three years of event sales and coordination experience, ideally in casual hospitality
Comfort with creating and building upon client relationships
Demonstrable leadership and decision making skills, appropriate to scope of role
Strong organizational and planning skills
Approaches tasks from the perspective of excellent customer service
Understands and works within budget constraints
Comfortable negotiating terms of a contract, within scope of role
Resourceful and creative problem-solving, lateral thinking skills
Highly collaborative, curious, and communicative
Available to work during peak event hours including evenings and weekends (weekly schedule will be adjusted to accommodate within the working week)
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Educational background in sales, marketing or events
Previous experience in hospitality and events
Previous experience with Google Workspace, TripleSeat, databases (eg AirTable)
Previous experience in casual dining hospitality at server, supervisor or manager level
Awareness of the local marketplace including competitor brands is an asset
Interest in sports, food, music, pop culture, nightlife
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings/weekends as may be required

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
