Job Summary

We are looking for qualified and committed Mechanical BIM Coordinator with a strong work ethic to be part of our growing team. Great Northern Plumbing is a leading mechanical contracting company with a solid reputation.

Responsibilities and Duties

Model mechanical building projects, using Revit in BIM360 environment.

Produce models for VDC and BIM, leading to pre-fabrication of mechanical systems.

Collaborate with General Contractors and subtrades for clash coordination.

Produce drawings/cut-sheets for on-site for layout

Create as-built models/drawings as required.

Read and interpret Mechanical Drawings and Specifications.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Networking with subtrades to provide cohesive design results.

Layout of mechanical sleeves using AutoCAD MEP and Trimble Robotic Total Station.

Qualifications and Skills

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Architectural Technologist or equivalent an

asset

- Must be proficient in AutoCAD MEP and REVIT or equivalent 3-D modelling platform.

- Background in mechanical systems considered an asset.

- Experience with Trimble Sysque considered an asset

- Trade Certification in Plumbing or HVAC an asset

- Experience with Trimble Robotic Total Station (RTS) considered an asset.

- Strong Communication skills, ability to network with Tradespeople and Engineers.

- Understanding of Building Codes.

- Valid Class 5 Driver's License for site visits; Drivers abstract required

- Good time management and organizational skills, ability to meet tight deadlines.

- Willingness to learn and grow.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
