Apex Valve Services in Nisku, AB is currently looking for a FIELD SERVICE VALVE TECHNICAIN. The AVS side of our business covers all ends of the Oil & Gas industry from Drilling and Completions through to Processing and Transmission.

The Field Service Technicians duties include supervising and assisting in the installation, repair, removal, and maintenance of valves. The ideal candidate can take direction, communicate in a team environment as well as work independently.

Duties for Field Service Technicians will include, but are not limited to:

Receive, inspect, disassemble, repair recondition, reassemble, and pressure test Valves and Actuators Install, Repair and Maintain Valves, Actuators, and equipment on customer sites. Maintain all property, service tools, shop and field equipment keeping workstations clean and orderly. Process service tickets and other administrative functions relating to records. Maintain inventory levels of spare parts for service trucks. Prepare detailed Job Safety Analysis (JSA) requirements. Promote and perform any field service-oriented sales and maintain a positive customer relationship for the company. Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned by management or indicated by responsibilities.

Flexibility to work in both the shop environment and field. The ability to follow written and oral instructions and be adaptable to a changing work environment and competing demands. Must be able to work varying hours in different environmental conditions often under time limitations and deadlines. A strong work ethic and positive team attitude with the ability to work independently.
Attention to safety, quality and detail is a must in all positions. The ability to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol test is required.
