Line of Service AdvisoryIndustry/Sector Not ApplicableSpecialism ValuationManagement Level Senior Associate & Summary A career in Deals Valuations will provide you with the opportunity to help organizations unlock greater value from existing businesses and assets as well as new acquisitions, investments, disputes, and complex corporate arrangements. Our focus is on a series of services, such as valuations to support financial reporting, M&A, tax, expert reports in a dispute environment, and corporate reorganizations as well as valuation advice including deal pricing and value consulting to support management decisions related to transactions and corporate planning. In short, upon being a member of our team, you will support clients and their legal counsel to make profound strategic decisions on value, better conduct business transactions and decisions, and satisfy regulatory requirements leveraging your professional skills and in-depth industry knowledge.Meaningful work youxe2x80x99ll be a part of:As a Senior Associate, youxe2x80x99ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Business ValuationUnderstand the business/assets being valued, its historical and projected performance as well as key strengths and challengesConduct financial research into industry and general economic conditions, discount rates/cost of capital, valuation multiples for relevant public companies and precedent transactionsEngage clients in discussions around their business, including operations and financial items to further our valuation analysisPrepare complex valuation models to support and arrive at valuation conclusionsAssist in report preparationPerform audit support work including the review of purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment assessments and private equity portfolio company valuationsAs part of the Deals group, you will work with colleagues across all lines of services to deliver valuations alongside other services provided by PwCExperiences and skills youxe2x80x99ll use to solve:An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work (Strong command of Microsoft Excel, experience with Microsoft Power Platform and Python)A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heardSuccessful candidates will have a strong financial background, superior verbal and written communication skills, an investigative mindset with attention to detail with an ability to see the big picture, strong technical/analytical and project management skills, an ability to analyze business situations and a professional and personable demeanour to interact with clients and work effectively in teamsThis role best suits a team player with a CPA/CA designation (other accounting or finance-based designations will be considered)Progress towards completion of the Chartered Business Valuator designation would be an assetWhy youxe2x80x99ll love PwCWexe2x80x99re inspiring and empowering our people to change the world.
