Description and RequirementsWork Location: HybridPosition Type: Permanent Full TimeLocation: Richmond, ONCompensation Range: 70k-85kOur client, a full-service professional services firm specializing in estate planning, consulting, business valuations, and litigation support services, is seeking an experienced \xe2\x80\x9cSenior Associate - Assurance\xe2\x80\x9d to join their team.Role and Responsibilities:

  • Execute audits of our clients from planning to completion and ensure client service excellence.
  • Provide on the job coaching and mentorship to junior staff members.
  • Perform analysis of complex accounting issues.
  • Keep abreast of accounting trends and legislation.
  • Manage concurrent assignments.
  • Work closely with the administrative assistant team for client onboarding proper processing and filing of documentation and overseeing the workflow
  • Enter daily timesheet and expenses in CCH attend scheduled meetings and maintain consistent communication with colleague for client engagement status.
  • Assist with firm quality control processes as it relates to QA review for compilation/accounting department.
  • Provide guidance to compliance group on firm standards and assist with firm quality assurance.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and 2-3 years of experience within the Public Accounting industry.
  • Previous experience using the various accounting frameworks applicable in Canada (IFRS, ASPE, NPO and/or Public Sector).
  • Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the client\'s business to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities and take initiative to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams
  • Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience with CaseWare is considered an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite: Word, PotheyrPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
