Job Description

Overview

Safely and competently operate a Grease Vac truck independently. Grease Trap Cleaning is the primary role, with the opportunity to train and be certified for all equipment and job types. This position requires early morning start times, split-shifts, overtime & is labour intensive.

Duties

Operate grease vac truck including driving to and from job sites on public streets and operating safely to complete jobs Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance Follow all health and safety policies and perform work in a safe manner Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and any issues encountered on the road or at job sites. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and daily activities in detail. Clean, lubricate and refuel the equipment Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed Participate in organizing and cleaning up the shop Other duties as may be required from time to time

Skills

Class 3 drivers license with Airbrake Endorsement Satisfactory driving record Previous operating experience with vacuum truck, hydro-vac, and/or high-pressure units Safety certifications (TDG, WHMIS, C.S.T.S, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Confined Space, OSSA and Ground Disturbance) Able to communicate politely and clearly to customers and coworkers Focus and attention to detail Willing to work flexible schedule Pride in your work Care for the equipment Commitment to safety Team player Physical fitness involving climbing in and out of trucks, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling hoses, tools and equipment
