Job Description


We are looking for a UX Designer for a 24-month contract position, with possible extensions in Regina, Saskatchewan. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Position is available as on-site location. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week.
Role Description
The UX Designer plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing the company website by gathering requirements, designing the presentation layer through prototyping and wireframing, and ensuring a seamless user experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting usability testing, providing user support, managing service levels, and overseeing performance and capacity management. Additionally, they contribute to quality assurance and technical documentation to ensure consistency and efficiency in design and functionality.
Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design and prototype new features for a wide range of solutions.
  • Assist with the front-end development of websites, mobile and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Identify the scope of work and provide estimates for User Experience (UX) and User Interaction (UI) activities.
  • Runs User Experience workshops to identify and qualify Personas.
  • Perform usability testing to ensure that end solution matches requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Collaborate on user experience planning.
  • Incorporate the company standards and industry best practices into solution designs.
  • Facilitate and incorporate usability testing feedback into solution designs.
  • Manage release control using leading practices.
  • Deliver designs from concept through to final product.
Required Skills and Experience
  • UX Certification is required
  • 6+ years of relevant experience as UX Lead Designer/ User Experience Specialist
  • Proven track record of UX Design lead for corporate software web application
  • Able to develop wireframes in Figma
  • Computer Engineering / Computer Science degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • User experience certification would be an asset.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Flash).
  • Experience with user interface guidelines and typical conventions for iPhone, Android, and/or Windows Phone.
  • Experience with designing prototypes using tools such as HTML5/CSS/CSS2/CSS3/JavaScript.
  • Experience with agile development methodology.
