Worker Type: EmployeeGroup: LED Searose Rotator Shift B DepartmentJob Post End Date: 04/13/2024About this opportunity:The Utility Technician will be responsible for operating engine room and main power generation systems, as well as other FPSO utility systems. The position requires collaboration with the Production Technicians, Central Control Room Operators, Production Coordinator, Chief Engineer, and others to successfully monitor and maintain utility systems within defined safe operating limits.What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:Carry out safe and efficient operation of FPSO utility and process facilities by monitoring and controlling processing and utility equipment, protective systems (fire & gas, ESD, etc.) and any other support systems.Monitor and operate engine room systems and main power generation according to established procedures.Ensure a high standard of housekeeping and safe work practices, while protecting the environment at all times.To be fully aware of, and if required, involved in all ongoing work on the FPSO process and utility systems.Implementation of mechanical isolations.Take actions to prevent or rectify abnormal plant and production conditions.Participate in emergency response activities and training as required and/or requested.Perform fire team and helideck team duties when required.Perform first line maintenance, within designated limits of competence, and report faults on plant and equipment to maximize plant availability.Maintain daily logbooks.Who you are:A Second-Class Engineer Motor Ship (2M), STCW95 Rea. 111/2 Certification required.High School diploma and Technologist or Industry CertificationRelated experience preferred (oil and gas industry, offshore experience, marine, etc.)Experience with permit to work systems is preferred but not mandatory.Effective knowledge of Process & Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs)Training as required by the CAPP Standard Practice for Training and Qualifications of Personnel, Advanced Training for Oil Tanker Cargo Operations, other regulatory requirements, and company required training as per the approved Cenovus Training Matrix. This training to be provided by Cenovus to the successful candidate.This position is located offshore on the SeaRose FPSO, working a 3 week on/3 week off rotation, therefore you will be required to obtain/maintain medical clearance and all required training for offshore travel.
