The Engineering, Parks and Environment department requires a regular full time User Analyst.
You will perform technical support and analytical work in implementing, maintaining and expanding the applications of an asset management system. You will analyze business processes and recommend system modifications and improvements, gather information and define system performance requirements. In addition, you will test applications and provide related training to staff, coordinate asset management system related activities between Information Technology and Operations and produce and analyze various reports and statistical data.
You will develop processes and guidelines and provide technical advice to users. You will assist in defining business requirements and investigate business procedures and processes, provide options for maintenance, replacement and upgrades, review system report capabilities and recommend enhancements and modifications related to processes, plans and reports.
In addition, you will participate in committees and evaluation, selection and integration of enhancements and investigate and resolve minor hardware and software problems and analyze work processes.
You will have completed a certificate in computer science, including or supplemented by courses in database concepts and programming, plus have considerable related experience, with an ERP preferably Infor\xe2\x80\x99s Public Sector and Asset Management. Experience reading and interpreting technical plans and drawings, working with AutoCAD and/or GIS, and knowledge of public works operations will be an asset. Additionally, you will be proficient in MS Office and possess a valid class 5 BC Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License.
Salary: Pay Grade 22 $37.63 to $44.30 per hour (2023 rates)
Hours of Work: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a 1/2 hour unpaid meal break, Monday to Friday, (40 hour work week).
The City of North Vancouver currently works on a compressed work schedule. This position works 8:00 a.m. to 5:05 p.m., Monday to Friday, with one scheduled day off (Monday or Friday) approximately each three-week scheduling cycle.
